Day 25 – studio Pilates on my own at LIVe Applecross

Day 25 – So far, I have been surprised by how frequently I have done Pilates with an instructor. When I set my goal of at least 2hours/week of Pilates to be done with an instructor I thought this would be the hardest part of my resolution.  In fact it has been relatively easy. Which is just another reason in my mind why we should set ourselves goals and follow through with them. You may discover it’s not as hard as you thought.

That being said today was a 12 hour work day, not leaving much time to get to a Pilates class. No problem, I snuck in 25 minutes of my own workout in the studio at LIVe Physiotherapy and Pilates Applecross.

I have managed to get a little behind on my blog so I don’t recall all the exact exercises I did in this session, besides that I did a lot of the ‘Cat’ variations. When I was a gymnast many of our stretching exercises were named after various types of cat. I have always got a disproportional amount of joy out of this and love that Pilates does this too. Happy cat, angry cat, kneeling cat, standing cat, the list goes on…
