Aaaah, so I just had my first frustrating blog experience. Wrote the whole thing on my ipad in the passenger seat of the car on our way down south only to hit `discard` instead of `publish`.
Perhaps it is fitting because I think these next few days are going to be my first challenge to fulfilling my goal. I`ve gone on holiday for a few days to Margaret River with some friends who are visiting from Sydney so I won`t have access to a studio or a nice wide screen TV to watch Pilates Anytime. I did my research and despite having a population of only 4500 there is actually a studio down here called Sense of Space but unfortunately it is closed until next week. However I have brought my mat and my ipad and have internet access to watch Pilates Anytime so there are no excuses!
So back to today. It is day 4 of my Pilates revolution and I had to work in the morning before we headed on holidays so squeezed in a half an hour workout in the studio at my work, LIVe Pilates in Applecross. Here is what I did:
bridging with leg extension
Spine Corrector: roll down reach
kneeling psoas stretch
Trap Table: standing arm series facing in
Just a quick basic workout, something I may not have bothered doing before. Would I have worked harder with an instructor? Definitely. Would it be better to do a whole hour not just 30 mins? Absolutely. But is what I did today better than nothing? Of course!
It may not have been the most thorough, perfect workout, but it was still movement, still exercise, still Pilates. And this is what I think I have learnt so far; by making myself do Pilates every day I am realising the value in just doing something but doing it consistently.
